I'm fascinated by the amount of Gaelic in use among clans from areas that the Conventional Wisdom (read "Scottish Parliament") decides are not from Gaelic areas for the purpose of watering down the Gaelic Language Bill.

It's a pity that Scotland didn't have a Saunders Lewis. The SNP doesn't have the same connections with the language of the country the way Plaid Cymru does.
