Shirt in or out?

I was thinking the same thing. For example, I have a nice short sleeve button-down linen shirt that is not designed to be tucked into pants. I think it looks great with my kilt and would look foolish tucked in. I guess it’s just going to be a matter of the shirt and the occasion.

leave it out if that's how you usually wear your clothes. unless i'm going to something more formal (ie. with a button up shirt) i never tuck. if you want the kilt to be your "street clothes" wear it like you wear your "street clothes". if i felt compelled to tuck it in i wouldn't wear it very often. it may not look as nice and neat, but then i'm not really a nice and neat kind of guy. keep it casual if that's your thing.
