    First ink

I posted in another thread last week, that I was getting my first tattoo & would get a pic to post.

Well here it is. It's on the right arm, but since I took it in the mirror so it looks like my left arm.

It's to celebrate the Norse blood in my veins. The dragons head reminded me of the prow of some Viking long boats. Also, since I'm the families main protector, I had the runes for protection & warrior added.

Nice tattoo, but the problem is that it is like lay's potato chips, you can't stop at just one.

When people ask me "how many?" It's kind of hard to give an accurate  answer due to this.

Nicely done! How long do they stay nice and sharp like that before they start to go a bit fuzzy?

it depends on how well you take care of it, not only during the healing process, but also after it's healed. sunlight is the worst thing in the world for tattoos. use lots of sunblock!

Thanks for the complements. An hour and a half in the chair to this point & not nearly as painful as I thought it was going to be.
She wants to see me back in 30 days for minor touch-ups & darkening. Then she wants a picture of this one to add to her portfolio.

I always wear sunscreen anytime I plan to send more than 10 min. outside anyway. So not worried about that. Plus as others have said, blurring can be kept to a minimum if taken care of. My GF has a few that are over 15 years old and are still rather sharp at the edges.
