September Bay Area Kilt Night- Belmont CA

Another last Friday of the month, another great evening at the Devil's Canyon Microbrewery. There was some great live Blues music so our man Dan the brewer left his kazoo at home, along with his Alan H. made kilt. (Gotta wear it next time man!) We enjoyed good brew (including a seasonal pumpkin pie ale, that had a bouquet of nutmeg.) There was some kilted swing dancing with Damaris and the F-H.C.A.G. Way2Fractious was there with his newly self made GORGEOUS X Marks tartan kilt (though I was a dunce and didn't get some good shots of it.) New to our little outing was Vincenzo (no relation to Carl Kolchak's boss) the pug. CaptainJak's friend Alicia brought him. Walkerk's raccoon and Way2Fractious' skunk full face sporrans had quite an effect on the little guy. He also had a taste for beer so we had to keep our glasses raised about him.

It was a fun night and here are a few pictures.

    Alan and the ladies

Walkerk picked up this Harris Tweed jacket at the Pleasanton Games for TimC
(Now on to the conversion to an Argyle jacket)

    Alan H and W2F

Way2Fractious and the Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess showing a bit of leg.

    Tim and the lovely Damaris

Captainjak was looking good with his Alan H. made X Kilt and his new sporran

Vincenzo and the sporrans. After sniffing both he determined they were evil and had to be destroyed. The sight of either brought him to growl fiercely (for a pug).

We were sorry that Monkey@arms and Cameron Taylor couldn't make it (though CT your friend Chris was there and he did wear his UK)

    Cheers

    It was a great night!

There you go, teaser glimpses of way2fractious's X-Marks Kilt...*drool*...and the sporran-killing pugdog!

Hey look at the tartan shirt in the background behind Tim and Damaris!

    Another great kilt night

Thanks for posting the pics Panache. It was an all around good time. My only complaint is you had to take my pic after a few pints. Glad to know all who attended. Great bunch of people, but then again what would one expect from a bunch of kiltateers. CHEERS

Looks like almost as much fun as Scotchtoberfest!

Yes... you want to keep your beverages well away from appreciative pets. They can succumb quickly to the deleterious effects of alcohol.

The pug vs. sporran photo was a hoot!

Here's the rabble line-up. A little more of way2fractious' X-mark kilt in the picture.

The fellow checking IDs at the gate said he would wear his kilt next month.

Looking good, ladies and gents. Sorry to have missed it.

I see next month is the Halloween party at the brewery. What to wear I wonder

    Best regards,

    TimC's New Tatoo

Here's one last picture from our monthly kilt night.

TimC. got himself a new tatoo.

The F.-H.C.A.G. suggested that if you are looking for Tim at a Highland Games or perhaps the X Marks the Scot convention, just find the fellow with this on his thigh.*

    Cheers
