    A Hay!

Great outfit. I love the jacket, but I have to agree with switchblade5984 that the balmoral doesn't match the outfit, or as he suggested is it just how the photograph came out?

    Cheers

The balmoral works with the outfit. I like the colour.

Were you in the Royal Engineers, A Hay? I see the RE badge on the balmoral.

    Thanks for the kind comments

I agree the balmoral doesn't quite match the color of the jacket. But they are different materials also. The balmoral is felted and the jacket is woven. When I put on my lovat green hose I think it the two (balmoral and hose) will balance out.

Nice catch on the Royal Engineers cap badge! I was not in the Royal Engineers, but I was a serving member of the US Army Corps of Engineers. I wear the RE badge out of respect for fellow members of the engineering community. I have a belt buckle with a US Army engineer castle mounte on it.

I'll try it on with some different kilts today and will surely wear it to church tomorrow.

    Thanks

    Tom

Nice look! Especially with the waistcoat under the jacket.

    With SWK Saffron

I wore the new jacket to Church today with my SWK Saffron. I think they are made for each other. Got several nice comment from my "fan club" (folks in the community who ask me " Where's your kilt" if I don't wear one on Sunday to the PX.)

    I love this jacket!

    A-Hay,

I like the jacket/waistcoat with both kilts. I think it'd be too light for my Campbell but I do have saffron coming. Where do you go to church, the post chapel or out in Graf somewhere?

    Tom,
    Great jacket.
Good on ya' for honoring a noble profession.
My dad was a civil engineer with the Corps...Chief of Operations in the Wilmington District (NC). He always wanted a kilt outfit but never got around to it. I wear mine today in honor of him as well as my other Scot ancestors.

We go to the Vilseck Chapel. Been going there nearly 20 years, with just a few breaks.

Looks like you had great weather in Rothenberg. Nice Kilt! We were fogged in most of the morning. Typical for this time of year.
