Why, I outta...!!
So, I go into Wal Mart tonight. I hadn't been kilted all day since I was working the greater part of it. But, I had to wear (oh, no arm twisted... ouch, ouch, ouch) my SWK saffron kilt in there as I was hunting thread to match it (the wife is undertaking the "third" buckle for me.) As I'm browsing through the thread spools, I'm aware of two youngsters running around the aisle over and peaking periodically around the corner at me. Granted they were children, but these two were old enough to know. What was it they should know you ask? They were old enough to clearly deduce that I am a man. I'm sorry, but I of ALL people have never been mistaken for a woman. These two little smart-mouthed punks, shout one to another "is that a BOY or a GIRRRRRRL?"  WHAT?!?! I would have most certainly chuckled and thought nothing more of "why is that guy wearing a skirt?" Or, "boys can't wear skirts!" or something. But, oh well... whatever. I guess taking a 2.5" kilt belt to some butt would get me in the slammer stat. Little punks.

You could have just lifted your apron, and answered their question for them.

A good 20/20 hindsite reply would have been, "Neither, it takes a Man to wear a Kilt!"

I probably could have been, except my parents wouldn't stand for it. And I wouldn't be able to sit because of it afterward.

HAHA. You guys are a riot.
Yes, my mother would have worn me out for being so blatently rude to a complete stranger. AND, I certainly woudn't have been "running the streets of Wal Mart" alone like that! Wal Mart tends to be a welcome beacon for the ummm, city's finest citizens Oh well.
