I had to go hug my wife again because she supports my kilt wearing.
This is a trap many men put themselves in. They ask their wives if this goes together and setting the wife up as the clothing expert. That gives them power. Some men even let their wives pick out their clothes for the day.
I never asked, and my wife would never tell me what to wear. We men can dress ourselves and can learn to coordinate colors just as well as women. I would never presume to tell my wife what to wear and she would never tell me.
Only exception is, I will ask if a particular event is casual or dressy.
