The first thing you should do is download a real browser. Safari makes a lot of websites look like crap. I use Firefox on the Mac I'm forced to use at work.

I'd never allow a Mac in my house.

I may be finally converting my mother over...her two year old windows machine is already working at a less-than-optimal level and she's thinking of calling Dell and asking them what she should do....do ya think that Dell will say, "...just buy a new one!"?

The trouble with mum is that she thinks that she will have to deal with a steep learning curve if she switches over...would somebody tell her that it ain't so.

My hope is that she'll stop by the local Apple Store, which is close to the hospital that she volunteers at, and get blown away by a nice iMac.

Glad you're up and running, Freelander. It is so nice to work on a new Mac.

    Best

Safari v2.x that ships with Tiger is a far cry from v1.X. Much better.

With that being said I use Mozilla Camino - Custom written for OS X and faster than Safari.

Got myself a MAC. I'm the slow sort. Steep learning curve, rather flat but, going toward level. I get to go web surfin' an lookin' for info anyway. The Mozilla Firefox is the browser upgrade I went to. I think it's better than Safari which came with the thing. Don't know much about why, except that it feel a bit easier to work with.
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?
