Gentleman, I regret to say I will not be able to attend. Without realising the date, I promised to take the kids camping this weekend. This sounds like it will be a great time to get so many X-Markers together. I'll have a blast teaching my kids the fun of the outdoors but will also be thinking of the games.
I hope you guys have an awesome time. And I still want to schedule a Georgia kilt night so be looking at your calenders.

I'm sad I had to leave the games early but I decided I would let all of you know how my marching band did at the competition I went to. It was the reason I wasn't able to attend the X-marks meeting.
Our band got straight 1's (the highest marks) and took 2nd out of 6 in our division, AAAA and above. In our class we got 2nd of 2 bands however our score difference was only 2 points which means it should be things we can fix at practice this week.

Congratulations on the competition.
I thought I'd add a link to a few pics I made at the games today.
I was out of town but we returned early due to a very rough night in the tent for our 3 year old. My 9 year old and I were able to pop in and catch a few of the events as well as meet Matt and the Gang at the STM Tent. Great to meet you guys Matt. The crowd around your tent was quite impressive! I would love to be able to spend some more time "chewin' the fat" with you when I don't feel like I'm interfering with business. Saw several USA kilts and Sport Kilts, UK's and I'm pretty sure a Renagade. I wonder how many folks roaming the grounds are able to identify kilt makers by their kilts? Is it just us wacko's who have kilts as a passion?
Anyway, enjoy the pics!

Thanks for posting the pictures, some of these pictures were evidently made Sunday at the Parade of Tartans. It rained in Atlanta Saturday night and early Sunday morning, but cleared up about mid morning, we had a great turnout Sunday. The field was a little soggy but the parade was spectacular.

Souzaphone771,
It was nice meeting you, and everyone else that attended. Congratulations on the competition. Over-all, we had 9 or 10 XMarkers total this weekend. Unforntunately, we didn't get together for a picture all at once...but, there were some pictures taken, and hopefully will be posted soon by those of you with the cameras.

I dont think I met anyone except for Mr. Newsome just briefly but it was a fun afternoon. Did anyone show up in a really nice Jacobite kit? I saw just a glimpse of the guy and then lost him. I wanted to congratulate him on doing his homework right! I think he had a green tartan great kilt and a red tartan waistcoat. Propper bonnet, targe and everything. Looked nice. Is anyone here in that 'Wild Highlanders' group?
