    Seems to me if a kilt is red and black tartan then one leg should have red a hose and the other leg should have a black hose.
    Same with other tartans. Take the two major colors of the tartan pattern and wear one color on each leg.

    Jesters do it all the time. Why not?

    That is a good idea Ron, you would always have another pair just exactly like the ones you have on in your sock drawer at home.

    As for being the other side of the pond in the UK, 90% of the time you will only see off white hose being used, I do have a pair of blue hose to wear with my blue Argyll Jacket and black for funerals.

    However, if you're planning on Googling for it, try "parti-colored," "particolored," "parti-coloured," or "particoloured."
