Looking forward to it!
I'm in training earlier in the day, but I should be released in PLENTY of time to get changed and head out there.

I'm Bummed! I've been trying to reschedule things enough to get there but I'm not going to be able to do it. I hope you guys take some pictures so I can participate vicariously. I hope you all have a great time.

Jamie,
That blows... That said, if you were able to get off work a little earlier (around 3ish), you could probably be in Redmond by the time everyone was arriving. Just gotta take some of the backroads to avoid the traffic on 5 and 520... Then, you'd probably not get home until 2 am or so, but if you decide to come up, ya can do it without changing too many things in the schedule, methinks.
If you want me to map out a route that'd avoid the major traffic snarls, let me know via PM, and I'll send it to you.

Thanks John, but the problem is that while I arranged to have Wednesday off I couldn't rearrange a tuesday night obligation so I wouldn't be able to get to Seattle until about 2 in the morning. I was really looking forward to it too, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. Hoist a few for me and I'll be sharing a dram long distance with all of you about 9:30 here in Battle Ground.

Kilted John Sporrano, Big Al Sporrano et al,
I had every intention of joining you during the day Wednesday. At 1:30 a.m. I discoverd a hose on the washing machine had suffered a fatal anuerism. My laundry room, living room and kitchen were under water. I think you all had a better time than I did. My wife did point out that it turned out to be a good thing that we were not in Seattle at the time, and it was good that I had arranged to be off work so I could be there to clean up the mess. Sometimes I hate optomists.

Jamie,
Don't worry about it. Sounds like we're both having bad days... Yesterday, I met up with Al, he just didn't know it at the time. Saw him walking along Jackson St in the Pioneer Square area. Tapped the horn, but I don't think he heard it. Anyway, visited the UK factory, checked out the new digs, then headed off to do my own stuff, and was planning to eventually hook up with him later on. My Volvo wagon had different ideas. Was driving along and engaged overdrive. Felt some serious juddering and then heard some expensive noises. Lost the overdrive unit. Limped home and decided to do some stuff around here.
Today, I dealt with a water pump leak on my family's Volvo sedan. Got everything resealed and bolted back together, but am unsure if I actually have it leak free. Currently have it sitting with a drip pan underneath. Will check tomorrow to see if it actually is leaking or if it was just residual water from when I dropped the pump to change the gaskets.
Saturday, I'll hopefully be working on a transmission swap. Got another gearbox that's in decent shape and a buddy has offered use of his shop with a lift if I want to do it there.
