Scottish Country Dancing
Since a number of forum members go in for this wild sport, may I invite them to join us in south-eastern France for a Scottish Country dance holiday in June 2007?
This will be the 5th holiday I have organized (on a purely personal basis -- I am neither hotelier nor travel agent), and it has always been good friendly fun, meeting new people, exploring the area (Annecy, Chamonix, Mont Blanc) and enjoying local food and wine as well as plenty of dancing, of course.
Info on my web site:

I've seen S/C dancing and it's nice to watch but I've been cursed all my life with 2 left feet... and seemingly tied together at the shoelaces at times...
For those fortunate enough to have the natural ability.... what a wonderful excuse for a trip to France! And there's still 8 months too learn how to dance!

The lovely Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess and I have really enjoyed Scottish Country Dancing. But sadly I think it very unlikely we will have the means (or the skills) to go to France in 8 months. Still, perhaps one day.
I would be very curious to know how many X markers are Scottish country dancers.

New to SC
My lady and I are members for the San Gabriel Valley chapter of the RSCDS. We haven't participate for about 6 months because she had "new" knees replacing the old ones. We will begin again this very evening. It is GREAT fun and the people are wonderful. Between our ballroom dancing and the SCD we are having lots of fun.
This is in addition to being members of the United Scottish Society of Southern California.

Martin,
Looks kind of interesting. My wife and I are in Germany so it would not be all that difficult to get there.
You mentioned prices for the package, but I didn't see them listed. Could you let me know at least approximately, the cost per person for double occupancy?
Thanks,
Tom

Hello, Tom,
Price per person is 425 euros, double room, full board, and all the dancing.
Outings will cost up to 50 euros per person maximum.
Where do you dance?
(direct e-mail would probably be a better way to correspond)
Martin
