It's nice when people recognized and appreciate your kilt for what it is rather than making the clever quips that we've all come to know and love.
A couple of years ago, I wore one of my kilts to a menswear shop and had no less than three staff (two of them ladies) looking after me.... much to the frustration of other customers who were waiting to be served. I never get that kind of service wearing trousers.
