    Derek,

An interesting day indeed. It's alright for you youngsters. Unfortunately, it has been a very long time since anyone asked about, or commented upon, my kilts. I guess people, especially the young, don't fancy chatting-up old gits!!

By the way, those two new outfits are the best co-ordinated I have seen you in yet. Congratulations, you look great!

Thanks guys for all the nice comments, especially from 'the guv' himself , who by the way, we will be spending the day with in London in just over a week, cos we ain't seen each other in ages. I will wear either black or brown so as to not get in trouble when we meet up:rolleyes: .
Rob, I been wondering where you have been of late and was going to phone you this week to see if you were ok. The reason I bought two cord shirts was that fact the 'cutoot' did'nt have one, neither did I. It gets so complicated buying for two. The 'cutoot' has my old black sweatshirt by the way. It even confuses Elaine who will put out a meal and after its not been touched for 5 mins realises she's given it to the wrong one. Life does get complicated sometimes here in Wales

Great post Derek, Fine responses from those lasses indeed.
I must remark on the overall look, it's the business mate! And with the 12 hole all stars my heart skips a beat Sadly I can't get them over in the Oz, only the shoes and high tops
It IS good to have a tartan recognised as a non-Scottish tartan as the majority of folks assume the kilt your wearing isn't otherwise (well in my experience). It's always a little bit of a buzz when folks know.
    Cheers,
    Erin

    12 hole all star

I, like OZMETH noticed the 12 hole all star. I had never thought of wearing such with a kilt, bit seeing how it blended in so well with your casual look has made me rethink them. They are comfortable and cheap. I think I'll get a pair this weekend.

It is a great look. How many of those, who love the look of the Converse, remember the mean blisters they could produce in one practice of running the lines? I forgot cardboard cutouts don't run. O'Neille

The big white spot and overall look makes me think of U.S.KEDS. The basketball court shoe so many of us loved wearing in the 50's & early 60's, before Cons (Converse). I still could not "Run faster or jumper higher," with them on.
