Not to discourage anyone from going, :rolleyes: but I'll definitely be there!

I haven't missed for the last several years. They over commercialize the event a bit too much for my liking, but it's still a grand event - even if there's no alcohol served. Not to be missed if you're anywhere within a few hours drive (which nowadays could be on the opposite side of the Valley ).

The Phoenix-area Arizona Scottish Gathering & Highland Games (to use it's official title), is organized by the Caledonian Society of Arizona - the same group that designed the Arizona state tartan. So naturally, I'm looking forward to sportin' my Matt Newsome, box-pleated Arizona tartan kilt at the games.
