Children are the most wonderful things that life has to offer, I raised three of them, two boys and a girl so I feel qualified to lend a bit of advice. Enjoy them as much as you can, spend as much time as humanly possible with them and remember, kill them before they grow!!!! Because if you neglect this most important step they will become TEENAGERS and then the next logical step are GRANDCHILDREN, not that grandchildren are bad at all, it's just that I wasn't ready to be a grandfather and the brutal beating that I got from my dear wife was a clue as to how she felt being forced into grandmotherhood.
Just a bit of advice.
Chris.

From a father of 4 boys and 1 girl: Congradulations. Children are the best thing that can happen. Even though sometimes they can be a pain, I wouldn't change a thing. Enjoy the children because they grow up fast.

Congratulations! You will be busy....
Incidentally, talking of Ireland, John Pentland Mahaffey, the Professor of ancient Greek in Trinity College Dublin, who taught Oscar Wilde, was once asked what the difference was between men and women. He thought for a moment, then replied "I cannot conceive!"

She conceived while we were on honeymoon
Congratulations. That was what happened with my first wife on honeymoon in Italy. The marriage was a disaster and we broke up after eleven weeks. But I have always kept in contact with my now adult daughter, who was destined to be an only child as her mother never remarried and Ann and I never had any children. A child changes your life permanently and in several ways, and more for better than for worse.

You'll find that nothing changes your way of thinking more than becoming a Father. Not becoming an adult, not becoming married, and not becoming a soldier compares to the first time your child calls you "Daddy".
