I had such a call on two consecutive evenings last week from a credit card company inviting me to transfer balances onto their company's card. I cut up my card and returned it to the company for cancellation and told them in my covering letter that I do not take kindly to rude telemarketers calling me and then hanging up. It would at least be good manners if they could be taught how to poiltely end the conversation once they figure out that they are making no headway.
The telemarketers in Scotland must be a lot less persistant than those here in the USA.
