I don't wear kilts to work yet...someday soon I hope

I wear my kilts on my days off 3 days a week (F-S-S). Rarely do I change into my kilt after work unless going out to dinner.

99.9% of the time. The .1% is when I'm doing something dirty (playing auto mechanic), sleeping, or showering.

For my reply, just re-read Hamish's -- but reduce 73 kilts to about a dozen.

When retired, one can really do as one likes and be comfortable all the time.

I'll add something no-one else has mentioned:
    my pyjamas are unbifurcated, too.

Uniform for work, jeans for motorcyle riding and certain aspects of yardwork, kilts 99% of the rest of time. I'd love to be able to go 100% full-time in kilts like Ron & Hamish, but work and riding the Harley just don't allow for it.

At least two or three times a week with at least one of those days being on the weekend.

I'd wear them more but I don't want to "push it" at work. So far they're okay with me showing up in them every once in a while.

Weekends, weekdays when i'm home, going out to dinner, occasional grocery shopping. I plan on showing up at work on St. Andrews day kilted just to start the ball rolling, but am feeling a bit trepidacious about the public transportation portion of the day.

I don't expect to give up pants for now. It wouldn't fly professionally for some of the things I do. But since going kilted I am SO much more aware of the encroachment of that center seam onto hallowed ground.

Although I previously wore my kilt 3 - 5 times a week to work, now I can only wear it once a week on midshifts due to a dress code change (and I do wear it every week). I also frequently wear a kilt on my days off, but have to switch to jeans for working on the house or car. I think I'll fix that by getting a kilt for working around the house. The Utilikilt in the Carhart-like material is the only one I know of that seems made for getting dirty.

Ive got 5 kilts at present. I wear kilts about 3 days of the week. I took early retirement from work so I can pretty much do as I please now so kiltwearing has become much easier.

I too want to welcome you Ayrkiltie.

I know that I am blessed in what I do that gives me the freedom to don a Kilt pretty much all the time. Yet I know that some circumstances do not permit others to wear the Kilt as much as they may like.

Just be yourself guys whether you can wear it all the time or just a few times. and just consider yourself fortunate that you can wear the Kilt when you can.
