I plan on putting a rectangular kilt buckle on it. I already have a wide chestnut belt from Cavscout with a brass center bar buckle. (Very fine work!)

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished belt.
Cheers
I haven't invested in a draw knife yet. I have a 3 foot metal straight edge that I clamped to a table edge and used a standard utility knife. Shears don't give as good an edge to the leather. I did invest in a tool to take a thin edge off the side. It creates a bevel edge.
Thanks for the encouragement, everyone.
