Tartan Hiker's promise Kilted Hike Gathering?

Months ago, there was discussion of a gathering to celebrate Tartan Hiker's recooperation and rehabilitation.

At the Foothills games, we talked briefly and he mentioned that NO ONE has brought it up since. NOW, he is able to do a mild hike (at least by his standards).

I am thinking that Glassy Mountain in Flat Rock (near the Carl Sandburg place), North Carolina might be a decent one for the (ahem) "less athletic" among us. I know MANY groups take middle schoolers up it, or carry lunches to the top.
Any better suggestions, or a date?
(I am limited in days off from the retail job on Saturdays until after the holidays)
What about Sunday afternoons (about 2 or so), so I can get up there after the service that morning in Woodruff?

    Ideas?

I was in on that discussion. I would love to attend. My problem is my location. Anything more that 4 hours from my home is difficult without taking time off from work. I wouldn't mind taking time off, but It'll have to be next year. My time for the rest of the year is spoken for. If things work out, I could make a long weekend trip out of it.

I fit directly in the middle of that catergory, but I'd still be willing to attend anytime. I could use the exercise.
