By looking at the links, It looks like the 101 is Smoke and Fire's renumbering (for selling purposes) the 152 pattern, as the pictures are the same, descriptions, AND it is FW-101 (and has "folkwear-patterns-1." in the page descrip.) I SERIOUSLY doubt Folkwear makes 2 versions of the same pattern so similar.

Smoke and Fire's own kilt pattern is IDENTICAL to Linda Byrd's "The Scots: A Glimpse of Gaelic Clothing and the Accoutremeants of the eighteenth century" (published by Smoke and Fire and copyright 1999) on pages 60-64 called "Making a Small Kilt" and based on an article/instructions by Ann Stewart in Threads Magazine. (The book is essentially a coloring book with pics based in the MacIan illustrations, but it, overall, is STILL usable for more than kids. That said, I disagree with it on a number of points in her descriptions of what is illustrated and the history of clan tartans and kilts themselves.)
These are not bad, Barb's book is much better.
