Hmm makes me think of the sledding scene in "National Lampon's Christmas Vacation" each time I see it I laugh till the tears run.
BTW there are no calories in holiday food and drink from Thanksgiving to New Years (thats my story and I'm stickin' to it lads!).

    Cheers!

Pretty much our attitude as well. We started last night. We had our neighbours over for a visit, and Karen brought out her home-made Chocolate Drop Spider cookies and Butter Tarts. Add some Baileys...heaven!! And to think, only a month more of doing this! Woohoo!

Wow, now THAT sounds good! All I had last night was some fermented pomegranetes and some Okocim (polish beer brand, good in my opinion). I've never heard of Chocolate Drop Spider cookies but they sound delicious! Better than my fermented pomegranetes (they were fermenting in my fridge for two weeks, I didn't even know about it 'till I stared eating 'em. They were good, but they took their toll on me this morning. Naturally I'm having more tonight. )

Hehehehehehe! You sound as bad as me...eat something that doesn't agree with you, pay the price, but go back for more cause they're so darn tasty!! I do stuff like that all the time.

Chocolate Drop Spider cookies are great! They use oatmeal, long-strand shredded coconut, and chocolate. I'll see if I can get the recipe from my wife so I can post it here.

Ok, here you go. This was one of my grandmother's recipes. Enjoy!

    Chocolate Drop (Spider) cookies:

    3 cups oatmeal
    2 cups long-strand coconut flake
    4 tablespoons cocoa
    1/2 cup margarine or butter
    1/2 cup milk
    1 cup white sugar
    1 cup brown sugar
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Boil margarine/butter, milk, and sugars for 3 minutes.
Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients.
Mold by hand or spoon onto wax paper and let cool.
    Store in airtight container.

When done they should look like this...

And they should taste like this...

My mouths watering just looking at that picture! I'm the family baker actually, I'm always baking around the Holidays and anytime I can get the time. I'll definitely have to bake some of these once school's out!

Go for it! If they don't work out the first time, keep trying. It took Karen 3 years to perfect them. These were the best ones she's ever made.
