I almost wrecked my monitor there!!
I've been wearing my SWK heavyweight over the past week or so, with the storm that crossed the midwest US. it dipped to 8 degrees F, and the kilt was fine as long as I didn't stand still too long, and I had enough upper coverage. I do suggest insulated boots, or serious wool kilt socks for really cold weather, though. Frozen feet make any experience almost unbearable.
