I've got the economy from SWK. It's pretty decent and gets the job done, and for $15 you can't go wrong. My only complaint with it is the tassles tap against the surface underneath and they make alot of noise when you're walking.

As with anything, you get what you pay for. The BKs look really nice and are next on my list after I get my formal outfit completed.

Any hard leather sporran will do that. Personally, I like the drumming. Makes me feel like I've got my own percussion section.

Guys on here have recommended tacking the tassles down with a bit of silicone, if you want to stop it. You can buy a tube of black silicone for a few bucks in the automotive department of most stores.

Yeah I was thinking about doing something like that. I wouldn't mind if it was a little bit of tapping (which would probably be the case with softer, real leather), but I find this one to be a bit excessive ..

Leather does not have to be soft to be "real." Like so many things, sporrans are a matter of taste. Personally, I think those sack-like sporrans belong at Ren Faires. Lots of guys love them, though.

    To each, his own.

Buzz Kidder. I've had mine for two years, and I wear it ALL THE TIME (practically...) and I've had no complaints. I love it for a daywear sporran.
