It's not unreasonable for them to want to see the fabric first to insure it is 'kilt-worthy' material. I would do whatever you can to make sure what you are getting is the genuine article. Be careful. If it's cheap, there's usually a reason.

Well it's the PV material from scottishweaver...it's not wool by any means. But I've got no problems with it.

That may be so, but you're definitely not the only kilt wearer. Do you know how many pipe bands are in the Chicago area? At least 6 off the top of my head.

Are you going to the Illinois games in Oak Brook next summer? You should, it's a good games and I'll be there competing!
