This post reminded me that there are several good "This Day in History" sites that would be useful in helping to fill out the "Reason to wear a kilt" calendar.
This one - http://www.scrapbookscrapbook.com/whathappenedwhen.html - looks quite good.
I will take some time to cruise through it, but I thought that you might like to join in the fun. Personally, I would like to see every day with a plausible reason to celebrate the kilt. It's not so much that we need a reason, but it it would be more interesting than the usual explanations.
Any help you can offer to fill in the blank spots would be great!
Cheers,
Rick

Mac Users: I made a "Reasons to wear a kilt" iCal calendar
Anyone? Anyone?
I took Pour1Malt's calendar, added all the other dates I could find in the subsequent replies (thanks everyone!), and put them into my iCal calendar. Then I loaded them here. I think Mac users can also subscribe here, in case you also want it in another calendar (other than on XMarks) like I did.
Enjoy!
