As much as I support you wearing the kilt I can't say I think wearing it to school is a good idea. Not specifically because it is a kilt but because I would consider it distracting clothing. To clarify my stand though, I am a proponent of school uniforms.
That said, I think the Administration is ridiculous in their reaction and should be taken to task for adding to the problem.
By all means wear your kilt proudly and often, just not at school.

1) It is the Loch Ness tartan.
2) No, I can't afford a sporran just yet.
3) I wear my kilt belt.
4) It would be interesting to see, but I'd rather not create a huge scene, so it's going to have to be a 'no'.
And I wore my kilt to school once again today. Administration and staff said not a word. As for the students, most of them didn't say anything about. (However there are a few kids who won't stop with the skirt and gay jokes, but I can live with it.) Other than that, all I really got was a very long stare from one girl. An extremely friendly and polite 'Can I help you?' caught her off guard and she asked why I was wearing a kilt. I simply said that I enjoy my scottish heritage and the comfort and freedom that comes with a kilt. After which, she just smiled and walked away.(I consider this all to be a large victory on my part.)

Things done often soon become commonplace. Maybe they are running out of "new" things to say, or you it is not bothering you and so they will have to find someone else to pick on. Good for you!
DALE.
You don't have to be Scottish to be comfortable!

Even the great, unwashed masses can learn. You have broken through.
Remember, that lassie is only one of many who admire a man in a kilt. I'm old and beat up, and I still have ladies flirt when I am kilted. And, I have a standing bet with all my redneck (that's a term of endearment from a Southerner) friends: we go to a stange bar and see who has women talking to him first. I'll guarantee I won't be buying the drinks that night.
No one wants to take me up on the bet!
Good luck.

As I recall, someone had asked to see how I look in my kilt. Here is a picture my friend took of it last week. I know i look lightly dressed for Decemeber, but it was warm out.

Dia dhuit, mo chara,
The outfit looks very good. Do you have a sporran? I find comments occur a little less when I am wearing a few of the typical accessories. Although really, the belt should be a good enough indication that it is indeed a kilt and not yer mama's skirt!
Keep on kilting

Heh. Thanks. And no, I don't have a sporran yet. I'm currently too low on cash. And i want a kilt pin before I worry about a sporran. (There was an excessively strong gust of wind that approached at just the right angle...)

True. I've been making a list of kilt related things I would like to get. And I'm not even going to bother doing the math on the list tonight. Heh. I'm actually planning on getting enough kilts so I can just get rid of my pants. I've noticed that I feel a bit restrained in the nether-regions the day after I wear my kilt.
