***** n' Onions is good! I've played that on my radio show more than once! Flogging Molly is great, too...I'll have to see if i can make one of those shows.

Go see floggin molly even if you are not into "rock n roll" you will not be disappointed. They are a great very tight band, all you fans of acts like solas, dropkick murphy's, pouges, pay attention, these guys do it well!!! They can be very loud, so be prepared.

Ah, yes, Flogging Molly is great. I've seen 'em a couple of times, and I think since they're gonna be about an hour away in Charlotte I'll have to make it three times!

If celtic punk might be your thing, make sure you check out The Real McKenzies. Not only are they Celtic Punk, they use the bagpipes (which Flogging Molly does not).

those ***** n Onions albums are either "hit or miss"...some stuff is fantastic...others..not so much. Not because the bands are bad, but the disparity between the prodution on the different tunes is very obvious in some cases. A great way to find new bands you may not have ever heard before though.

FYI, The Street Dogs have been added to the bill on these shows. Not Celtic Punk, but some fine music.

    Cool Dropkick Murphys

Dropkick Murphys has their tour dates out also. They, like Flogging Molly, are celtic punk. I personaly like their version of "Black Velvet Band" and "The Fields of Athenry" I dont know the web address but you can "google" it if you want to. int:

As we said when my old band brought FM east for their first shows in DC and Baltimore, they're the band the Dropkick Murphy's wished they could be.

Add the fact that Dave King has been one of my favorite singers since I first heard Fastway at age 10, and I was and continue to be hooked.

Great band, great bunch of guys (and girl)!

    re: celtic punk
first and foremost Dropkick Murphys are brilliant!!! flogging molly are great, unfortunately no B.C. dates for tour (so choked) check out the Real Mackenzies great celtic punk from my hometown of Vancouver. also i am getting into a band called the Tossers, check em out. someone mentioned the Street Dogs-good band, very political very pro union but not celtic punk-they are pure west coast punk i believe they are from Cali(correct me if i am wrong)

i am currently saving to fly to boston for the annual murphys gig on st pats day- god i hope i make it- wish me luck
