A Kilted Christmas party at work
So here I sit at my desk, for our work christmas party, I am the only one kilted, so far today I have had the following comments
"Nice Costume!"
My reply
"Its not a costume its a garment, but I am fond of your costume."
and refering to my sporran
"Thats a fine looking purse you have there."
Ah well I suppose its all a part of the holidays
All the best fellow xmarkers

Looking forward to our company Holiday party in January. I will be kilted, as last year. This year, only with shirt and tie, maybe even without the tie. Last year , tux shirt and bow tie. Too formal for a bunch of industrial mechanics. A few of these guys don't even own a suit. The Owners said they would wear kilts this year. We'll see. Pictures to follow.

Well, as it turns out for every joke or insult today there have been many positive reactions, one co-worker, was saying she wished her hubby had a kilt, and that the jokes and derogatory comments are coming from those that are jealous, however just like every other time I have ever worn the kilt there has also been "the question." Unfortunately as I am at work there are no cameras or I would post a few pictures. On the up side I'm never more comfortable than when I don the kilt, so this has been a most enjoyable day.

I got a question this evening from a lady at my choir Christmas dinner but not the one I was expecting.
"What's in your sporran?"
So I showed her!
