    Late fees. If this is your first late fee, call the credit card company and explain what happened, they usually will waive it. I have done it several times. Tell them you tried to get to the bank, but the snow and wind kept getting up your kilt. The credit card person will be either laughing or thinking about that and waive your fee!

    We didn't fare too badly, other than the fact that we couldn't get out of the neighborhood untill this a.m. We had about two feet on the flat, drifts up to 40" in spots in the front and back yards. Here is a link after I shoveled: in one or two of the shots the dogs feet aren't touching the ground...they're just swimming in snow.
