Mountain Kilt
Anyone with a Mountain Kilt willing to post some pictures of it spread out flat with views of both sides? I may try and copy it.

Why not design your own.
Others here have.

As far as I can recall, the mountain kilt sells as a supposedly unisex garment, although the apron folds are designed for a ladies kilt. So I think you would do far better designing a male version.

The Mountain "Kilt" is really a wrap-around skirt. It's a kilt only in name. As far as I know they don't make the men's version anymore, and they've changed the women's model from the original to a new style.
The men's model wrapped so it overlapped half an apron's width. It fastened with a buckle at the waist, and with a buckle on an elastic strap halfway down the apron, so it had play as you walked (it needs this, since it has no pleats). There's a patch pocket placed so it's on your leg sewn onto it.
I repeat, this isn't a kilt by any stretch of the imagination. It was just easier for Mountain Hardwear to market a "hiking kilt" to men than a "hiking skirt." I've seen several of these on others in person, and I wouldn't want to wear one myself.
Andrew.

You would be better off making your own kilt.
Here's the link to the X-Kilt, designed by one of our members, is easy!

It's on a PDF file with complete instructions.

You can use any lightweight kilt as your hiking kilt. Andrew hiked over 5000 miles in his 4 yard Bear Kilt and it wasn't a kilt specially designed for hiking.

I agree with the above wholeheartedly. Ideally, make yourself a cotton X-kilt and purchase a Stillwater economy and you're good to go in any weather, and have laid out far less than $100 total!
