Thanks for the pics. Were those cans of IrnBru I saw in the Fort Augustus pub pic?

Excellent shots! Looks like you guys had a grand time in spite of the rain.

Welcome home, and uh, Patrick? Where was YOUR kilt, buddy?

Yep. The kids loved it. I thought it tasted like bubble gum.

It remained safely in his suitcase for the entire trip. He doesn't do cold very well, and the winds kept him in his jeans.

I found haggis to be quite good, but I really fell in love with black pudding for breakfast.

Hiker, that is probably the absolute best picture of Urquhart Castle I've ever seen. It looks exactly the way Urquhart looks on a clear day, not like the photos one usually sees.

Thanks for sharing. It makes me sad that my wife and I didn't do the same even though we talked about it. We let little things like family get in the way.

Thank you for sharing those wonderful pictures.
My grandparents "moved back to Scotland" after retirement, to Edinburgh, "gave it a whole year....and it rained every day that year."
They moved to Florida for the rest of their days.
I'd love to visit one day too. Thanks again.
