We do it one company at a time. I've been kilted full time at work for 17 months now (mental health agency). Our dress code is, "We don't have a dress code, but please don't make us institute one." And, of course they're big on "diversity."
There certainly are many tightly controled businesses where they would find a way to disallow kilts, and there are businesses where kilts wouldn't be practical for safety reasons.
But, I'll bet if folks would read their employers Mission Statements and core policies they'd find a language of tolerance and cultural diversity that will support their being able to work kilted.
