I always find it strange that everyone notices the potential dangers of the Welsh letter transposition even though a similar transposition of the English letters would sound just the same!

McMurdo ... I did'nt read anything into your post, so no apologie is needed!
Robin .. Indeed, there are far to many narrow minded people out there. Looking forward to meeting you as well at Ferintosh. Just over two weeks to go .. yippee!
Scout .. yep, you gotta be sure to spell it right .. don't try it after a pub crawl .

    OT

In fact I have had non kilted locals beat me to the punch as it were with rude people (Mainly those Damn Yankees But that is another story).
Hey now! I won't say anything about some rude Southerners I have met in my time! My Iowa mother raised me better than that!

There I was this afternoon, attending the (new to me and English) dentist and wearing my 8-yard Spirit of Scotland, reclined in the dentist's chair having a tooth filled when I overheard the dentist say to the dental nurse "Of course, in dentistry we aren't allowed to kill fairies". My thoughts immediately flashed back to this thread and for one horrible moment I thought maybe he had an issue with my kilt, but to my great relief I quickly cottoned on that he was referring to an item on the radio which was playing in the background!
