Speaking of two straps, my SWK saffron in a 36 waist was too tight in the hip. I finally removed the hip strap and buckle, and it makes a huge differerence in the comfort and how it hangs. Both Barb T and Matt Newsome resommend no hip strap. i may just remove them from my other kilts.
Both straps were on the right hand side. Remove the hip strap? Bottom one on the right?
Hello and Remember that it's the thought that counts. With the way some of the guys on this board get treated about kilts by their SO's, I'm certain that Michael appreciates not only the gift itself, but the emotion and thought behind it!

Thanks for the review. I bought my son one for his birthday and he loves it. He lives in Atlanta and so the light weight is great for him. I too liked the lightness and will get one some time. I got him the "works." I will not get the works. It seems to me that the genius of the SK is that (with the elastic and velcro) it is easily pulled on and off. The thin leather straps were redundant. Nonetheless, I like the idea. Beach wear!
