Harrisburg area kilts
Okay, Keith, How come we've never run into each other out and about? I wear my kilt all the time when I'm not at work unless the kilt just wouldn't work (bowling/bowling coaching). In fact, in my brew club, I'm the "kilt guy" and if someone mentions mead brewing at the brew shop and the person doesn't know who the proprietor is talking about, he says, "you know, the kilt guy" to which everything seems clear. Same thing with the woodcarver's club, but a couple of the old timers are looking at getting one too. One of these days, we'll run into each other here instead of a kilt night Rocky puts on.
If they outlaw guns, can we go back to using swords?

I am normally at either Zembies, McGrath's, Ceoltas, or Molly's when I am out. I am sure we will run into each other eventually. We should just get a kilt night going here and save the travel time to Phoenixville.

Darrell,
Thanks for the encouragment. I think i will wait until i move to a more kilt -friendly area. Too many cowboys out here, not enough celts (er.. kilts) :-)

Now that is good news
Still, it never ceases to amaze me that one in so many US places of work has to request the boss to wear a kilt

Today is the first day I have worn the kilt to work with the whole building here, so far lots of great reactions. I am still waiting on all out approval to wear them whenever I want to, there have been a lot of e-mail sent so far. But I got permission for today, so I think it is probably going to be a test to see how much disruption is caused. My boss and her boss sit directly across from me so I am sure they will be keeping thier eyes and ears on my cube today.

Maybe for more than one reason!

I am wearing a grey turtle neck sweater, my xmarks kilt and kilt pin, my celtic knot sporran, the hand knit hose from my cube mate, and combat boots. I will try to get a picture tonight.

I too am kilted at work today, have been all week, actually. I think that just maybe I have heralded in a new era, as nobody says anything now they are just used to it. I will post pictures as one of my co-workers got a few this morning.
