    WOW.
I'm rarely one to take offense to much of anything. But, I don't think there is any need for generalizations such as that. Boo.

I wouldn't take offense, Brad--that's pretty much head-on, I think, and most of us would agree with that statement. I think it's hard to get the sense in a message of what people mean when they say something via e-mail, internet, etc . . . which is why we have smilies!

When you have more than one kilt it is easier because you have something to wear during the wait.
Congrats on the new purchases, Splash 4!!! Rest assured, you're not alone in the yearning for your kilt (and it's accessories) - although that may not be much comfort.... sorry

Mind you, I recently received my first kilt from SWK, and even with the shipping to Aussie-land, it arrived in very good time! So much so that I'm still working on my sporran, and have nothing to wear with my kilt!?!

At this rate, the kilt won't fit me!

    Ahh Splash 4,

Sorry the funds are short since the best way to avoid the kilt jones is to buy more kilts and accessories and stagger them so they arrive regularly...surfing kilt related websites and browsing tartans helps too.

who just got kilts #49 &50 this week (USAKilts Warrior and Kathy's Kilts Isle of Skye handsewn...pics this weekend) But I also got two pair of Lochcarron kilt hose and ten flashes....even just buying some tartan boxer shorts to wear when needed helps mediate the kilt jones.

I have been following this thread closely, as I too need advice on waiting on a kilt. I ordered a 6yd Knife pleated casual kilt from Matt on Monday. All I do is picture in my head how it will look.

The waiting is the worst part. In the future, reserve just a little bit of cash and when the jonesing gets unbearable, order a SWK and get the instant gratification that will help you to the end. So wonderful to place the order and the next day to get the email saying "You're kilt is in the box and on the way . . ." Hang in there. You'll make it.

Weren't the Scots the first to clone "Dolly the Sheep"? Perhaps Matt could spare some of his DNA and they could work on cloning HIM so more kilts can be made faster. Matt, how do you manage right now??????

I've wondered that about poor Matt myself. He's certainly a busy guy and most folks don't even realize the half of it!
