How does this Look?
This is sort of a repost, as I wanted comments on the look of a "tartan" (plaid) shirt with a plain kilt. I posted in the Hamish Poses section, this link,
http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/s...ht=hamish+pose
and didn't want to repost the picture and waste space.
So Look at the picture about 3/4 of the way down, and then comment here. Hope this isn't too confusing.

I never thought there was a problem with that look at all, as far as I am concerned it looks fine.

Yes I like it, and the shirt, and hose go OK with the kilt. Considering tartan kilts have been around for a long time and single colour men's kilts are a phenomenon of the most recent decade, I've been surprised to find that a single colour kilt gets a lot less noticed, even here in Scotland, than a tartan kilt. Perhaps because single colour kilts are in traditional mens wear colours, while a garish tartan draws the eye.

It looks fine with me as long as the green in the shirt matches the green of the socks (with my monitor the blue stands out more than the green). Getting to wear patterned shirts is one of the joys of solid color kilts.

looks fine by me. I figure if George Lucas can wear a "tartan" shirt an jeans his whole life, and basically take over the a good portion of the world, we can wear a solid kilt and "tartan" shirt. Hopefully we will have the same luck!
