To my most esteemed colleagues,
I am overwhelmed with the kind words directed at this small tale of my invention. Indeed I am uncertain as to the merit of these writings that have so inspired members of our worthy fellowship to resurrect interest in them so long after their original publication. The sole purpose of this endeavor was to create and share a moment of light hearted mirth with the good ladies and gentlemen that constitute the membership of our noble forum. Truth be told, this small effort I had created had escaped my conscious recollections until you good fellows knocked at the gates of memory with your praise. I find it only fair warning to note that it is a difficult undertaking to adopt that style of writing that so distinguished our Victorian forbearers. I might indeed be so bold as to say it’s a Dickens of an effort to do so. I shall not take your words lightly, but shall direct my brain to ruminate and perhaps find inspiration to write another enterprise regarding kilts and Flame-Haired Amazon Goddesses. I shall assist this process by procuring a tasty concoction of gin and vermouth that perhaps shall set the wheels and gears of my mind to turning, and by whose machinations shall produce another tale.
Until then I shall remain
Your Humble Servant
