    Burning Question

Do I really have to go 'commando' while I'm wearing my kilt?

Oh so MANY answers I could give...with tongue in cheek. But, no, I won't.

All seriousness aside, that is up to you and your comfort level with what you are doing when wearing the kilt and who is around. Some people never think twice about it, some will not when kids might be around and other never will. It's your choice...........and your ladies. She just might not like the idea of you getting a kilt check.

You don't have to but it is more comfortable once I guess you get used to it.

No, you don't "have" to. Several members here do, and they have their reasons, and several don't, and again have their reasons.

In general, wearing undergarments is encouraged if you're doing something where the chance of accidental exposure is high, like highland dancing.

Many of the kilted prefer going traditional because of comfort and, well, tradition.

P.S. It's called "regimental" with the kilt

But once you've worn your kilt in the regimental fashion on a hot Mississippi day (is there really any other kind?) you'll never regret it, and never look back!

Yes, so true.... especially when children are present.

The regimental fashion makes the least little breeze more appreciated on a hot summer day with 90% relative humidity. Trust me on this one.

You don't "HAVE" to do anything. You can easily go regimental if you desire, or wear something beneath the kilt. Completely up to you. No hard and fast rule unless you are in the Scottish Regiments ( or trying to win a kilt inspector's contest!).
