Harrisburg Kilt Night
This is an open invite, to those of you in the Harrisburg, area, the Lochiel Emerald Society Pipe and Drums will be playing in the Harrisburg, St. Patrick's day parade on March 10. If that isn't enough Barleyjuice will be playing at Ceoltas that night. I don't have an exact place for the kilt night, but since the band will be out there will be lots of kilts and since it is post St. Pat's parade there will be lots of fun.

If my directions are correct is Ceoltas just north of the Market Street Bridge?

Yes that would be correct, on second street. If you need more information let me know where you are coming from.

I live in Waynesboro, just across the PA border from Hagerstown. I have a friend in Mechanicsburg and am in the Harrisburg area at least monthly if not more. I haven't spent much time in actual downtown H-burg, but do know the Market Street Bridge. I've eaten a number of times at the Gingerbread Man at the foot of the bridge and crossed the bridge on the way to the Appalachian Brewing Company.
Depending on the interest one could be held at O'rorke's Eatery & Spirits in Gettysburg.
I now need to start on my X-Kilt so I can attend. Taxes Saturday and Kilt on Sunday. Maybe if there is enough refund I can order a Casual Kilt.

Doesn't that figure. I have been waiting for a Harrisburg area kilt night since the Big Philly Kilt night and now that there might be one, I will be on my way to Myrtle Beach and Charleston, SC that day. Oh well, have fun.

Doesn't that mean that there will have to be two kilt nights?

I am a really bad person to organize kilt nights, any time I go out and about I am in a kilt so for me it isn't anything big. But anytime someone wants to come out in a kilt send me a PM and let me know where you are going I will try to meet up with you.
The tenth happened to be a good day since the Lochiel Emerald Society Pipe and Drums will be out so we will have quite a few kilts out, however kilt nights for me are most nights I am out.
Let me know when you all want to get together.

So basically we are going to have a full kilt day...
Starting in the morning hours prior to the parade running through the nighttime hours at the Barleyjuice gig...
Gentlemen, start your livers!

I have March 10th on my calendar. My main problem is that I normally get up at 4:30 am drive 1 and half hours to work put in 9 hour days and drive back. 8:30pm is late. But, I plan to be there for as long as I last.
Drop my wife in Mechanicsburg to visit friends, I come party, drive back to McBurg and make her drive home.
