St. David's National: a review
As some of you may already know, from previous posts, I am quite the fan of USA Kilts' casual PV offerings. Due to past rave reviews from the likes of Ron MacDonald (Riverkilt) I purchased my first a few months back. It's been all downhill (for my wallet anyway ) since then. I now have three.
When Rocky introduced three new tartans in the PV range recently, I swooned at the thought of the St. David's sewn up for me. I have just a smidge of Welsh down the line on my paternal grandmother's side. But, none-the-less, like others, I like to honor it all. So, the St. David's seemed to be a great fit. Especially with it offered by Rocky and Kelly from MM's PV range.
So, I contacted Rocky last week. I placed my order plus tartan flash, an "Up Yours" T-shirt and a rush charge. I received my Cilt (hehe, it's a Welsh tartan so I guess I can call it a 'Cilt?') in record time (yesterday.) It has held up to the Rocky and Kelly's reputation (as if one would have any worries.)
So, I give you:
The St. David's National tartan cilt.

I immediately found the burgundy colour in the tartan to go perfectly with the maroon hose I ordered from Robin a few weeks ago. Paired with the maroon, merino wool shirt my mother-in-law gave me for Christmas, and the brown leathers. I felt it was a great combination.

The obligatory pleat shot. Rocky pleated mine to the sett and Celticranger's to the stripe (as he mentioned in another thread.)

And, here I am with my new pride and joy. I purchased this half-ton quad cab last month. It's the first "new" vehicle and certainly the nicest I've ever owned. I've always driven disposable autos. This is a great change.
Oh, and to quote Dreadbelly, all images go "clicky pop."
So, I'm one happy cilted camper. Thanks a million Rocky. That loud McLeod swatch you sent is calling me from it's spot in the trunk as I type this. I'm sure I'll be ordering up a "retina burner" before you know it.

Tb,
You know you have gone too far when you buy a truck to match your kilt outfit!
The St. David's looks great and you wear it well.
I am looking forward to my first order from USA kilts (hopefully when our tax refund check comes in or so says the F-H.C.A.G.)
I'd better get some better sunglasses because I want a "retina burner" too.
Thanks for the review.
Cheers

You look mahvelous!
I could never do the whole maroon thing, but it looks quite good on you. (Being a thinner sort) The kilt of course is just icing. Dood, you are coordinated.

Croeso i'r Bagad Brithwe Dewi Sant Brad!
Welcome to the St David's Tartan Group Brad!
Looks really good! Wales may have lost at Rugby but can still hold its head high in the Tartan stakes!

Thanks for the kind words gents. And Jeremiah, you'll love the Ireland's National. I'm going to wear mine today with the new green hose.

HAHAHAHHAAHAHA
As long as he doesn't buy a BRIGHT YELLOW house if he gets the "Retina Burner" MacLeod, he's OK.
