Look at www.thecapitalscot.com the events around Washington D.C. should be listed on their web site.

True there are some independent events taking place at that time but the major events have mostly been moved to the parade weekend since that is when most people from out of town will be here for the parade.
The only major event, that I know of, that is happening the week before the parade is the Scottish Villiage in Grand Central Station. The organisers were unable to move the date due to conflicts otherwise they would have moved to the following week as well.
I would love to hear about any events that you know of on Tartan Day though so I can pass then along. Kind of gives us two Scottish weekends here in NY this year.

And if someone doesn't sing out quickly, I'll be setting it up myself in conyers and arranging for some cletic music that night!
And I think we'll call the other groups while we're making simultaneous merry, so everyone should list their evenings here so we can get a list. We'll sing some bawdy song to you over the phone.
Sounds like a plan Jim. Count me in.

I think I can throw something together by then... It's "first friday" in Phoenixville (which means we'll be open until 9 PM), but we'll try to plan something for this area for after 9 PM.
