    You mentioned it was cheap WalMart cloth. That was the intent of the X-kilt - low startup costs. Do another. You'll have two and the second one will be better than the first.

    Also, don't do your stitching when you're supposed to be sleeping. (Voice of experience...)

    In three years I've done many roadkill investigations and only two roadkill "harvests" - OK, three - but none have made it to sporran stage, for various reasons. You should be able to find pelts at local taxidermy shops, highland games, mountain man rendevous, via mail order, or online, esp. eBay.
