I'll add you and the Mrs. to my prayer list, Dread.

God's miracles do happen. I pray one can find you.

You and your good lady are in our prayers. Having your wife beside you is important; but kids aren't the be all and end all in life. Children can bring with them a lot of worry and unhappiness. Ann and I have been married almost 23 years and have no children and too old to have any now. I have an adult daughter from a short lived marriage much earlier in my life, whom I've not seen for three years but who e-mails me when she needs money.

Dread, if it is cancer, the disease can be beaten. I had male breast cancer in '98. In males, it is fatal in a much higher percentage of cases than with women. I'm still around, and as of my last check, still cancer free. The treatments(radiation and chemo )affect everyone differently. She would lose her hair, but it does grow back. I can only speak for chemo, but I had very little nausea from it. On two occasions, I went in for my chemo, drove myself home after treatment and bowled that night in my bowling league. So hang in there. If it is cancer, The two of you can beat it Just be sure you are there to support her throughout the whole thing. You have a lot of people pulling for the two of you. If things do progress to the treatment stage, feel free to PM me about chemo and such. I don't know a lot about the drugs themselves, but I learned some things that helped me get thru it.

    Dread,

Concerning Mrs. D, I don't have the words... Be strong for her and know that we're thinking about you both always.

Concerning what you shared with us a few posts ago... You had been dealt a very bad hand my friend and you came out on top. You may not be at the level that you want right now, but the fight that you have in you that got you where you are today will continue to drive you until you are content with your place in life. You may not think it, but you are a success story of the system. You made it out and are leading a normal life. Lynn works with runaway and homeless youth in the state of Michigan, so I see and hear a lot more then most about foster care, boy's schools and the like. Don't you for one minute sell yourself short Dread, you have beaten all the odds that were against you so far, and you will continue to do so.

When/if you are ready to adopt, please contact me first. There are many bad agencies out there and Lynn has access to records that you'd never see. We've done this before for friends and we would be honored to help.

    Peace

Dread, I have no words but many prayers. I have made it through near fatal liver infection and near fatal heart problems that have landed me in the hospital for a month at a time. I honestly don't believe that I would be alive today without the prayers of friends and family. Please believe and understand that your friends here will be thinking of your family.

Dread, my thoughts and prayers are with you both.

It can be a difficult time with many uncertainties as I know from personal experience back in 2001 when I went to hospital for a routine diabetic checkup and ended up being admitted followed by two months of biopsies and tests then six months of chemo.

But it worked so I can testify that there is light at the end of the tunnel and you will find strengths that you didn't know you had or that was given to you when you most needed it.
