Hi gents, JB Weld is a sure fix all for any problems. The stuff is like a miracle and bonds anything. I won't bore (or possibly disgust) you with everything I have used it on, but trust me, its the best thing going. And it only costs $3-4.

mrpharr, let me know if you can not find the pin, I might have a spare pin lying around.

And for Streetcar, and everybody, I did not take it as complaining, just sharing experiences. However, it will help me on future runs to know what is or is not working, so everybody feel free to contact me if you are less than satisfied.

Upon my return from the south, I found my kilt pin awaiting me. It looks great and has good weight to it. One pin is a little bent, but it's ok as it is. I won't try to straighten it and risk breaking it off. Thanks for all of your hard work.

I took a chance, applied some careful needle-nosed pliers to the pin, and straightened it. All is well, and it looks great on my SWK MacTavish standard.

mrpharr, another option if you can't find the pin is to use a (flat-topped) thumbtack and the JB Weld stuff - I've used many of them over the years to replace missing posts, and the dammit pins grip them well.
