MacGregor,
Like has been said, I currently have a hand sewn, heavy weight, MacGregor 8 yard kilt for sale. 44" waist, for $225. Real good deal.
Also, if that's not your waist size, Colin has elsewhere mentioned that Fraser & Kirkbright in Canada has some 16 oz MacGregor tartan on sale for $16 per meter (and those are Canadian dollars, so it's even less for USA). Assuming you are an average size guy, all you'd need is 2 yards of that for one of my box pleated kilts. I could then make the kilt to your measurements for $220. So for about $250 (rounding up for shipping, etc) you can get a brand new, tailor made kilt.
Let me know if you are interested.

Hope this helps.

Thanks again, everyone!
A question: Is there a proper forum to talk about your clan, or is that not permitted here?

Welcome Macgregor from one of the FL rabble. Wher ein the sunshine state do you call home? We are in the Tampa Bay area, with frequent visits to family in southwest FL (Ft. Myers), and the East Coast (Melbourne). If you are close, we can do a kilt night.
And owning 2 of Matt's kilts, I would highly recommend him. Of course, I also own 4 USAK's, so I can recommend Rocky and Kelly as well. And there are the 3 SWK's, so obviously Jerry is great to deal with too. And Jeff of PK was a great guy, I have 2 of his. Still waiting to buy from RKilts, FreedomKilts, and CCK, but they are on my list! Hmm, you think I have too many kilts?
