Done and done. In 8-9 weeks I shall have a Casual USA Kilt in the MacPherson tartan, along with a St. Andrew kilt pin. These next 8 weeks are gonig to go by ever so slowly.

Excellent choice, that was my vote. Only I'd call Rocky and spring for the semi-traditional. You'll have time to save up the difference, and you'll like it better. Nothing wrong with the casual, just even more value in the semi-trad.

And, don't forget to order matching flashes. If you don't now, you'll miss them later.

Im not planning on getting flashes for this kilt. Im going to get them when I order the semi-traditional from him in July. I just need a good MacPherson kilt in time for my fishing trip to Northern Wisconsin. Being that I have one on the way, Im not too worried about flashes. I promise that I will get the camera working and get a picture up within 24 hours of my kilt coming. (If I screw that up, you can gut me like a trout.)

You're going to get two MacPherson kilts in total? Or are you planning to order a different tartan for the semi trad? If that's the case Ron is suggesting you get the flashes now as they will be from the same bolt of material. If you wait to order them in July they could be a different shade, hue or sett cut from a different material lot.

The semi-trad is going to be MacPherson, as well. I'm going to use my clan tartan, for my more formal kilt. (The semi-trad, I'm ordering in July.) Thats what I'm getting flashes to match. The casual I'm going to wear more for just going out to the local sports bar for buffalo wings, going to the moies, fishing, parties, etc.

Then since you are going to end up with two kilts in the same tartan may I suggest that this one, you have pleated to the sett, and the semi-trad to the stripe.

He seems very open to input from customers. It's your kilt, he is your kiltmaker. Tell him what you want and listen to his input. He's there to please, it's you that will wear it with pride.

Okay, I'll talk to him about it tomorrow. I'm eager. I'm actually shaking with anticipation...
