The clans had a lot of space, that was one of the high points, but the vendors inside seemed spare as well. I never even found a place selling Flake! (Flake is just awesome chocolate candy they sell in the UK)
With parking and two tickets I spent $50.00 before I even saw the first kilt. Also, because of circumstances beyond their control there were no athletics this year. Normally I compete which I couldnt this year, but I also like watching the competitions as well.
All in all the best time I had was at the gift shop for the russian sub parked next door. I plan on writing a letter to the organizers letting them know of my disappointment.
Dude! I must have asked a dozen times if anyone else was going!! Sorry we missed each other.
Anyway, my wife and I also felt that attendance was down because of the lack of games. But, like you said, beyond their control. And we also noticed the lack of vendors outside compared with last year. But there were a few places to get food, both inside and outside the ship. At both the beginning and end of the parade route there were options as well as at least two vendors inside the ship, plus the usual restaurants and bars.

I answered, in this very thread!
You went yesterday though, while I went today. My fiancee works on Saturdays so that day is flat out.

Ooops
Missed it completely, I do see one of the Cameron Ladies in the pictures so I know they were in attendance. I'll make it to Pomona (next weekend and the Scottish Faire). Hopefully I'll have the E-kilt done by next saturday.
The Celtic Spring daughters have never seen me in jeans so I have a tradition to uphold. Young Dubs play sunday too !!!
CT - and I have a gig the night before St. Paddy's.
