How's this? I always wear a hat, and I doffed the gloves so I could play with the icicles! Photo grows when clicked.

Now you people are making me sound like the forum Mother! I'm simply pointing out fact.

Now that we've gotten that cleared up, don't be sticking your tounge on a metal lamp post. And stop making that face, it'll freeze that way!

Nice - I remember the winters from when I lived in Rochester, NY. Wish I'd been kilted then.

TH, isn't that an awful lot of ice for Asheville?

    Andrew.

Wool kilt + hose + good shoes = good to go from the waist down, anytime.
I've ran around in the ice and snow kilted, and rarely have I felt better or more comfy (I like the winter). People have asked if I was cold... which is really sorta silly if you think about the fabrics involved.
Warmer than any pair of pants, and far more comfortable!

No, it is by the inlet (Cass Park). You know Ithaca?

The tartan, btw, is Fitzgibbon. A tartan registered last year in my family name, designed by Jeff (MacSimoin). The idea was for a tartan to be associated with the names Fitzgibbon, Fitz-Gibbon, MacGiobúin, Gibson, Gibbs etc.

Moved there to go to Cornell and stayed for twenty years (Ithaca area ... not Cornell!)

Wish I'd have been kilting back then .....
